Transformers: Dark of the Mood in 3D
May 26, 2011 By admin
The boy wonder star of Transformers Dark of the Moon chewed the fat with American newpaper LA Times about how Transformers Dark of the Moon is going to give the 3-D experience a lift.
For those whom wish to catch the film with additional dimensions can see it at 9am June 29th, a full three hours before the general release hits theaters on June 29th. Its going to cost to above meets the eye, but Shia announces its worthwhile.
“We took the 3-D cameras out of the ‘Avatar‘ stages and put them on the head of a dude jumping out of a plane in Chicago while a building is exploding. For real. Four or five dudes actually,” LaBeouf said. “It’s the greatest 3-D film ever made. It’s an amalgamation of ideas from Jim Cameron, Steven [Spielberg] and Michael [Bay].“
Hollywood is getting lots of stick for making the 3-D time into yet another reason to charge additional cash for tickets. The films that need spectators to wear special glasses across the film has sometimes didn’t make a large impression. Quickly changing 2-D flick into 3-D hasn’t helped either. Almost all of the current releases didn’t supply a story or setting that was conducive to the technology. Leaving many wondering what they are getting for the higher priced ticket.

I usually put off watching The Sopranos as there’s a lot of it to get thru but after many suggestions from buddies I chose to commit to it and buy the box set over Xmas as it had been reduced down to £60! After the 1st episode I was hooked. It gets off to a [...]

The Running Man, Arnie
April 27, 2011 By admin
In the future, Arnold stars as Ben Richards, an incorrectly convicted man forced into playing “The Running Man”, a dangerous Television game show where folks have to keep moving to try to escape savage deaths by the hands of the “Stalkers”. Naturally, folk are anticipated to die at last and it’s up to Arnold to show the system wrong. I haven’t read the Stephen King book, but this is a great film in any case, one of Arnold’s best. He does what he does best in the action man role, delivering death with extraordinary witticisms.
Classics are potentially the “He was a genuine discomfort in the neck” after strangling a bloke with dart wire, and “He had to split!” making reference to location he just chain sawed somebody vertically. Richard Dawson is completely aggravating as the cruel Television presenter, Killian, and all of the “Stalkers” are suitably camp.
The action is violent, but it’s an all-action film. That is the point. The film is fast-paced, and at ninety minutes it does not overstay its welcome. With Starsky and Hutch’s Paul Michael Glaser in charge, and made in the trail of the successfulness of “The Terminator”, formerly this film was potentially seen as yet another mindless action transport for Arnold, and far fetched.
But today, anyone that watches plenty of Television could see the way in which the film is getting nearer to fact. I would not be taken aback if I switch on the Television in the “near future” and see a show not to some distance from this. On that depressing note, I must however endorse “The Running Man” to anyone that loves the 80s, Arnold, silly acts or violence or simply a good action film.

My Review on the Titanic
June 23, 2011 By admin
Jack and Rose survive and the Titanic makes it safely to shore… That is the ending that you would wish for by the end of the flick. For the majority, feelings will go rash, particularly in the second half, the sinking scene. Yes, the flick is 3 hours and a half long. And yes, I [...]
Visual Technology
Blu-Ray versus HD TV
What on earth is the average shopper wanting to buy a television or video player to do when faced with a range of technospeak – and even talking to sales staff may not elucidate the issues particularly. It is really useful to understand the difference between HDTV programming and the Blu-Ray disc format.
There are several issues around HD – High Definition
Resolutions of HD: there are three types of HD resolutions available – 720p,1080i and 1080p-where the numbers give the number of lines of vertical resolution, with 1080p being full HD. One with a lower resolution will also support pictures of a higher resolution and vice versa.
Cable and satellite companies offer HD programming at an extra cost and HD television comes in 720p and 1080i, but few yet in full HD. For those that do the quality is much less than a blu-ray disc.
A blu-ray disc is the latest format in home movies, and a single Blu-ray disc holds a massive 50GB of information. The sophisticated electronic components that are used to construct a Blu-ray disc and Blu-ray player ensure an entirely superior viewing experience. As well as this the hugely increased capacity over the HD-DVD format allows for uncompressed video and several channels of HD audio. [Read More...]

A Fish Called Wanda
A bright spot for British comedy from the 1980s, A Fish Called Wanda was a mammoth hit and has a lot to enjoy: Curtis’ orgasmic response to Cleese’s language skills; Palin’s comic stammer and Kevin Kline’s unhinged sociopath, Otto. The Murderer Lives at 21 (L’assassin Habite Au 21)
