My Review on the Titanic
Jack and Rose survive and the Titanic makes it safely to shore… That is the ending that you would wish for by the end of the flick. For the majority, feelings will go rash, particularly in the second half, the sinking scene. Yes, the flick is 3 hours and a half long. And yes, I did say the second half was the sinking scene. The entire thing.
I do not even know why I am writing a review about this picture. Everybody in the world that has got access to a theatre saw this film; any person that has not either is blind, deaf, or mad. Titanic took a duplicate two thirds the length of the real deal and $300 million bucks to make; for once, the budget was wisely spent. Some of the most galvanizing graphics ever combined with an incredible soundtrack just scratches the surface.
I don’t know how anybody can not like this picture. The cast are all wonderful and Leo and Kate give career best performances in my judgment. The computer effects are really amazing and I adore the way in which the picture spends lots of time getting familiar with the characters it truly does deliver a pretty love story before the ship even hits the ice berg. This hasn’t been done with any other Titanic film I have seen.
Though scripting is dodgy in 1 or 2 parts, Winslett and DiCaprio smooth down the coarse parts. An incredible sinking scene and chilling (literally) ending makes Titanic one of the finest flicks ever made. If you have not seen it, you are deranged.
The Sopranos series, Great!
I usually put off watching The Sopranos as there’s a lot of it to get thru but after many suggestions from buddies I chose to commit to it and buy the box set over Xmas as it had been reduced down to £60! After the 1st episode I was hooked. It gets off to a little bit of a slow start but it is a perfect intro to the characters and sets the tone for the remainder of the show.
I was ready to breeze thru series one – five over the Xmas period and start of the year because there was a hell of lots of snow where I live and I was snowed out of work for 2 weeks! I watched such a lot that at night I’d dream that I was Tony Soprano or in any particular situation I’d always think how one of the Sopranos would handle it!
After watching the entire thing in just below a month, after it finished I felt cold and empty that I did not have any more to observe! It’s the most immersive and pressing Television show I’ve ever studied. The dialogue is gritty and practical, you sympathise with many of the characters yet you may be totally troubled by their behaviour infrequently and the soundtrack is ideal! If you are keen on wise guy films and even if you are not I would like to suggest this Television series to you as it does not just handle the lives and petty crimes of mobsters from North Jersey.
It covers their family lives, their inclusion with gigantic business, construction and waste product control as well as the ever developing interpersonal relations as the characters become increasingly complicated.
I would really recommend buying the first series, see how you feel about it and I’m sure you’ll end up with the whole collection.
Transformers: Dark of the Mood in 3D
The boy wonder star of Transformers Dark of the Moon chewed the fat with American newpaper LA Times about how Transformers Dark of the Moon is going to give the 3-D experience a lift.
For those whom wish to catch the film with additional dimensions can see it at 9am June 29th, a full three hours before the general release hits theaters on June 29th. Its going to cost to above meets the eye, but Shia announces its worthwhile.
“We took the 3-D cameras out of the ‘Avatar‘ stages and put them on the head of a dude jumping out of a plane in Chicago while a building is exploding. For real. Four or five dudes actually,” LaBeouf said. “It’s the greatest 3-D film ever made. It’s an amalgamation of ideas from Jim Cameron, Steven [Spielberg] and Michael [Bay].“
Hollywood is getting lots of stick for making the 3-D time into yet another reason to charge additional cash for tickets. The films that need spectators to wear special glasses across the film has sometimes didn’t make a large impression. Quickly changing 2-D flick into 3-D hasn’t helped either. Almost all of the current releases didn’t supply a story or setting that was conducive to the technology. Leaving many wondering what they are getting for the higher priced ticket.
